In 2007, the iconic Savoy hotel closed its doors for a total renovation.  ASC Ltd. was given the task of manufacturing new brown terracotta window surrounds for an extension of the building.  The windows had to match the existing façade  and were treated with a “soot wash” – a black dye wash designed to make them look more accustomed to their weathered neighbours.  In addition to these, we also produced various other items, including a radiated cornice, moulded balcony nosings, and finally, a brand-new white dormer window overlooking Waterloo Bridge to match the existing glazed terracotta units.
